AIT Partnership Group Ltd, a leading provider of wireless LAN infrastructure services to education, business and the public sector, today announced that it had provided a wireless LAN solution to The University of Bedfordshire. For the solution, across all five of the University’s campuses, AIT installed 235 access points to provide complete coverage for staff and students. The extended wireless LAN system, part of the £180m investment by the University in new facilities, supports the teaching and research activities of staff and students enabling the University to continue to grow in all academic areas.
The University of Bedfordshire now has a world leading Wireless LAN solution allowing controlled access for staff and students at whatever campus they happen to be in and any time of day. The single mobile domain can be centrally administered allowing controlled, authorised only, access. New users can be quickly added and leavers quickly removed using the standard active directory administration policies of the University.

In addition we can allow guest access which gives visitors access to the internet but keeps our internal systems secure.”
