It's an all too familiar situation; you're under pressure to report on the power your I.T. and comms-room devices are using, but can't afford server downtime to retro-fit a power monitoring solution.

AIT Partnership can take the burden away from you with our non intrusive power audit. Using the very latest in power monitoring technology we can carry out a complete power consumption and management audit for your comms-room or data centre.

What the power audit will give you:

A snapshot of the actual power consumption of your IT assets (servers, network equipment etc) in a rack over a period of 7 days. This will allow us to provide a more accurate reading of the total IT power consumption of your DC assets then can be estimated using rated or de-rated plate values.

This is achieved using non obtrusive clamp meters on each feed into a rack or the power feed to each asset. The data is collected at regular polled intervals by our monitoring software and use to compile detailed reports.

Our data centre consultants will also provide recommendations based on the findings of the report and their analysis of the data centre to help you reduce costs.

The power audit report will provide:

Total power consumption.
Average power consumption.
Peak power consumption.
Estimated total server CO2 emissions.
PUE (power utilisation efficiency) estimate of your Data Centre efficiency.
Efficiency bench mark for setting energy targets and monitoring improvements.
Evidence to support the Return on Investment of energy saving measures.
Accurate capacity planning data to help prolong the life of your Data Centre.
An energy profile to enable you to charge back energy costs to IT users.
Practical low cost measures to optimise cooling and reduce energy use.

Costs

£1,000 per week per rack.

Includes the full power audit report, installation and operation of the monitoring equipment. Other options including monitoring of each individual server or IT asset are available on request.
