dcTrack Wins Network Computing Award

Capelle aan den IJssel and London (28 April 2011) – Raritan today announced its dcTrack™ data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) software has won "New Product of the Year" award from Network Computing magazine in London. It also collected the runner-up award in the "Data Centre Product of the Year" category.

Approximately 6,000 individuals cast votes for the 2011 awards, making this one of the most significant surveys relating to networking technology in the UK, according to the magazine.

"We are proud our dcTrack software is being recognized for its exceptional and innovative asset and connectivity management capabilities, and its ability to help IT and facilities organizations simplify change and capacity management in their data centres," said Khaled Nassoura, General Manager, Green Data Centre Initiative at Raritan. "dcTrack excels at managing and visualizing physical and logical relationships among all the assets in today's multi-vendor, multi-site data centre environments, so that managers can efficiently manage capacity and drive costs out of data centre operations. dcTrack also excels in its capability to drill down deep into the infrastructure layer of the data centre -- providing valuable information on where best to place servers and devices in racks, as well as how best to provision network, cabling, and power connectivity to those devices."
